Dan Prieto is the lead attorney in the firm's Social Security practice. He assists clients throughout Georgia with all stages of their claims for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplement Security Income (SSI) benefits.

Dan and his dedicated staff take the time to help clients understand the qualifying conditions evaluated by the Social Security Administration and the process by which their claims are considered. He strongly believes that the best approach to the claims process starts with a strong initial application and helps clients put their best foot forward.

Memberships

Dan is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia and the South Carolina Bar Association. He is also active in the National Association of Disability Representatives, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice, formerly the American Trial Lawyers Association. His other memberships include the Veteran's of Foreign Wars (VFW), The Citadel Alumni Association (Life Member), the Knights of Columbus, and the St. Thomas More Society.

Education

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina

  • Graduated with Honors
  • Distinguished Military Graduate
Loyola University, College of Law

In the Community

Dan participates in local charitable outreach programs through his various memberships and affiliations. He also donates his time and experience to provide pro bono assistance to indigent clients and persons in need.

As an aviation officer and airborne Soldier, Dan served with the U.S. Army flying attack-scout helicopters. His service included tours of duty with the 10th Mountain Division, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized), 11th Theater Aviation Command, and United States Reserve Command. As a Soldier, he completed multiple overseas deployments and most recently deployed to Iraq in support of the Global War on Terror. While in Iraq, Dan was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.

Throughout his years of military service to this great nation, Dan learned the methods and experienced the bureaucracies by which of our government operates. Relying on these tools, he discovered how to negotiate governmental systems to achieve results. While the first half of Dan's life was dedicated to protecting America and the "little guy" from within the ranks of our military, he now uses those same skills, knowledge, and ingenuity as an attorney to protect the rights of his clients and to fight for their benefits from the Social Security Administration.
